Outreach

Medical camps across the Diocese

Our hospitals regularly take healthcare to the doorstep of under-served communities through free camps and consultations.

Lung Health Screening Camp, North Chennai

The camp focussed on examining lung health. About 160 patients were screened with lab investigations relevant to lung health and spirometry, conducted free of cost with the help of sponsors and well-wishers. A free consultation was provided the following week for the same patients. The under-privileged from North Chennai benefitted greatly from this camp.

Eye Screening & Consultation, Kanchipuram

A free consultation medical camp along with eye screening for refraction and cataract was conducted for 114 patients. Basic blood tests were undertaken at a concessional rate for these patients on the same day.

General Medical Camp, Ikkadu & Thiruvallur

Around 40 patients attended the general medical camp and received free medication. In total, 191 patients benefitted from free medical consultation and continued with a follow-up check-up.

Out-Patient Department Reopened

The out-patient department was reopened for patients with medical consultation; basic lab tests were done and medicines dispensed, and around 60 patients benefitted. There was great warmth and reception from the people, who expressed their gratitude for the concern shown by our Bishop. This camp highlights the commitment of the medical fraternity to serve full-fledged, reaching out to bring deliverance in abundance among the common public to unleash God's glory.
