The Department of Conflict resolution and Reconciliation is a new initiative of our Bishop Rt. Rev. Dr. A. Paul Francis. The focus of the Department is a sincere attempt to resolve conflicts at the local level and to develop healthy relationships within the local churches amidst differences on the referrals from the Bishop or others authorised by him. Such an atmosphere of mutual respect will promote the mission of the Church and strengthen our witness in the society. In the process the department seeks to involve all stakeholders to resolve perennial issues disturbing peace and well-being of the Society.
The Directors attended a conference on “Reconciliation” at the Bishop Lincoln University UK organised by the Centre of Reconciliation. It was an inter-religious conference which gave us an opportunity to interact, and study attempts to bring people of all faiths together to promote peace and harmony.
Next six months
Conduct a training program among the Church workers and Youth leaders on how to handle crises in local congregation.
2027
Conduct an inter faith conference on building relationships through Reconciliation in 2027.
